The bottom line

With the ever-growing range of cannabis disposables on the market, the Wavvy truly stands out. This device only needs to be filled once, making it extremely convenient and ideal for those seeking a user-friendly and portable device.

You might see how small this device is and think that it can’t possibly produce the vapor quality that you’re looking for. I assure you, that’s not the case. The Wavvy is very easy to conceal, but its vapor production is impressive. The 7.2W of power efficiently heats the ceramic heating core, delivering clouds that will surprise even the most experienced vapers.

The dual-viewing window is a valuable feature, but I encountered some issues with the material sticking to the sides, which obstructed my view of how much was inside. However, this isn’t a significant drawback, as the problem resolves itself once you heat up the device.

The soft-touch coating and rounded edges provide a comfortable grip, which is nice for when it’s palmed and concealed. I found the soft-touch coating to be durable, showing no noticeable scratches or dirt after my use.

The Artrix Wavvy is an excellent choice for anyone looking to load up 1 or 2 ml of material and use it without the need to prepare before each session.

If you’re searching for a disposable device that can produce a good amount of vapor while still remaining easily portable, the Artrix Wavvy could be the perfect option for you.

When I first started using Artrix devices, I hadn’t yet seen them in cannabis stores, and their website only offered wholesale purchases. However, in 2024, they launched their online store, allowing for both wholesale and individual sales.

While concentrate/cannabis vapes are usually quite expensive, Artrix offers some quite affordable devices, with prices ranging from $11 to $16 for disposables and $8 to $16 for pod devices.

During the holidays, I began using their new Wavvy device, which is incredibly tiny and portable. But don’t let its small size fool you; it delivers denser vapor than you would expect.

The Artrix Wavvy features a tank capacity of 1ml or 2ml and is equipped with a flat mesh ceramic core that outputs 7.2W of power, effectively vaporizing oils and concentrates. Inside each Wavvy is a 260mAh battery.

As a disposable cannabis device, the Wavvy is designed to be filled once with your material, used, and then discarded. It cannot be refilled.

Design & Build Quality

  • Artrix Wavvy - 5

The Artrix Wavvy maintains the same dimensions regardless of whether you choose the 1ml or 2ml tank capacity. According to the information that I have available, both versions measure 58.3mm in height, 30.6mm in width, and have a depth of 16.3mm. This makes the Wavvy the smallest device from Artrix to date.

When comparing the Wavvy to another Artrix device, the Lilmon, there is a noticeable size difference. The Lilmon is 8.7mm taller and 8.7mm wider than the Wavvy, although the Wavvy is 2.8mm thicker.

If size, portability, and convenience are your priorities in a cannabis vape, the Wavvy certainly fits the bill. It can easily be concealed in the palm of my small hands, and the soft-touch coating provides a comfortable grip, making it feel secure without the risk of slipping. The rounded edges are a thoughtful design feature.

The device features saw-like grooves at the top and bottom, but I found them to be non-intrusive, and I didn’t experience any discomfort from them while vaping discreetly.

Weighing in at just 21.5g, the Wavvy has enough weight to feel good in hand, yet it feels almost weightless when tucked away in my pocket.

For this review, I received the yellow version of the Wavvy. The soft-touch coating has held up remarkably well, showing no scratches or markings.

  • Artrix Wavvy - 10

Much like their other products, Artrix has kept the design sleek and minimalistic with only one logo on the front of the device.

On either side of the Wavvy, there are tank viewing windows that allow you to monitor your material. While the windows are clear and helpful for filling and checking the concentrate level, I noticed an issue as the concentrate level decreased; my material began to stick to the sides of the window, making it difficult to determine how much was left.

The mouthpiece is crafted from liquid silicone rubber, enhancing the overall vaping experience with added comfort. Its size is perfect—not too large, which I appreciate. The mouthpiece also functions as a snap-in seal for the fill port.

The tank is constructed from food-grade PCTG and features a flat mesh ceramic core, eliminating the need for a post. Artrix claims that this design ensures a clean vaping experience, and based on my experience, I have only positive feedback regarding this setup.

When it’s time to charge the device, you can use the Type-C charging port located at the bottom of the device. Next to it, a white LED indicator lights up when you take a draw, as well as during the charging process.

How to use the Artrix Wavvy

Artrix Wavvy - 3

Using any of Artrix’s devices follows a similar filling procedure. To ensure the process is straightforward and mess-free, it’s essential to be well-prepared and have the appropriate tools on hand.

To fill the Wavvy, you’ll need your favorite concentrate, a dispensing syringe (I personally prefer concentrates that come pre-filled in syringes from my local dispensary), and a dispensing needle tip. I used an 18g needle in the past, but loading the product took a long time. I switched to a 14g needle this time, and the process was much quicker. If you don’t have syringes or needles, I found some on Amazon for around $10.

When you have all of your supplies and are ready to fill, follow these simple steps to get going:

  • Attach the needle tip to your syringe. If you’re using concentrates that come in an applicator (like we have available at cannabis stores here in Canada), you can simply screw the needle tip onto the applicator.
  • Insert the needle tip into the center hole and fill the tank with your concentrates.
  • Depending on the consistency of your concentrates, Artrix recommends waiting a set amount of time before snapping in the mouthpiece. If your material is thin, Artrix recommends waiting 90 seconds before snapping in the mouthpiece. For thicker materials, Artrix recommends waiting 180 seconds.
  • Push the mouthpiece down onto the top of the Wavvy until it snaps in, sits firmly in place, and sits flush with the battery. Artrix recommends waiting four hours before using the device.
  • After the recommended waiting period is up, simply draw on the mouthpiece to vape.

Performance

Artrix Wavvy - 12

The Artrix Wavvy is extremely easy to use. Once you fill the device, you’re ready to go. I filled it with D9 live resin, and it handled the material beautifully.

I recently reviewed the Artrix SK8, which offers an almost undetectable draw. The Wavvy is quite different from that. While it remains smooth, the draw produces warmer, denser vapor. Although the device is small and discreet, the amount of vapor it generates can be noticeable.

There are no buttons to worry about, as the Wavvy is draw-activated only. I didn’t encounter any major issues while using the device. I only noticed that if I left it overnight and tried to use it the next day, it would require an extra few starter puffs to get going.

Otherwise, the ceramic heating core is responsive and works very effectively. It really doesn’t take much to get this device going and vaping like a champ.

The 260mAh battery may seem small, but I only needed to charge the device once during my entire period of use. I have only a few more draws of material left in the tank, so that’s a win in my book.
